This is a reminder that members are able to retain an affiliation with UCU and the branch after their employment ceases.
This can be important for individual casework, but may also be relevant for some who wish to stay involved with the branch.
Retired & unemployed members can ‘attach’ themselves to a branch, and continue to take part in meetings, etc., though they are unable to vote in strike ballots, etc.
